merriott 2.JPG2 The Merriott House is the largest standard house which will hold up to 20 chickens. It measures 78ins long (including the nesting box) x 48ins high x 44ins deep. A Merriott Plus for 24 chickens is also available at extra cost.
The house is constructed using solid timber, with a sturdy frame and tongue and groove cladding. The floor is are made using oil based board (OSB) and has additional support in the base. The roof is covered in a strong shed felt. All the panels are treated using a Creosote substitute which is animal friendly.
It has two pop holes with sliding doors. The windows are protected by 1" square welded mesh. The nesting box is as seen unless you request otherwise. (This may cost slightly more). It comes complete with perches. The door to allow cleaning opens from the front for easy access. However it is also possible to place the door at the rear if preferred.
